From 26/10/20, you will have to order repeat medication directly via your GP practice & not via the pharmacy/online pharmacy/medical equipment supplier. You can order in the following ways: online via patient access/MYGP app, email the surgery on email@example.com or tick your repeat and post through the front door. If you cannot order by these methods and do not have a anyone who can help, please contact the surgery.
The preferred option for repeat prescription requests is using either patient access or the MyGP app. In order to use these services, you must contact the surgery to be set up and provided with login details. By using either of these two services, the request for your medication straight to the GP, who will sign your prescription and forward it to a chemist of your choice. Please note 'acute' medications cannot be ordered in this way. Acute medications are items that you may only need occasionally, new prescription items or medications that are in a higher risk category.
If requesting your medication by EMAIL - it must include the details below to be processed.
- NAME OF EACH INDIVIDUAL ITEM YOU NEED (INCLUDING STRENGTH)
- THE NAME OF THE CHEMIST YOU WANT THE PRESCRIPTION SENDING TO
It is no longer an option to collect your medication from the practice. A pharmacy MUST be nominated.
THIS EMAIL IS FOR PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS ONLY, ALL OTHER REQUESTS AND QUERIES WILL GO UNANSWERED.
Alternatively, you can post a paper request through our letterbox. Please note, it is preferable for you to use the tick sheet you should be given at the pharmacy, however if for any reason you don't have this, we will accept the request on a piece of paper with your name, date of birth and the names and strengths of the individual items you require.
